I agree with stress levels spiking while college starts up again! I go back in a week, I'm not looking forward to it either.

I've been hoping that starting this new blogging experience will help me relieve some stress and help me cope better :)

Well I'm sure if you're anything like me, you dive into working out just like you did when you were younger and in better shape. I've only been out of hockey for four months and I can already tell my stamina is not very good. I've also struggled with thinking I can do more-thus not really getting anything done in the gym.

My suggestion is to just go in strides. I've made myself realize that I am not what I used to be, so I've made my workout plan less intense. I just go with the flow. I still try to push myself, but not to extremes like the past. I guess just do what feels comfortable to you.

There's no sense in going back hard if you just relapse because you're sick of it. I think the best way is to work it in slowly so that you eventually CRAVE MORE.

Just with the coping part. I've been having a hard time committing to this to be healthy. I used to be a track runner and my athleticism has gone down a lot because I get tired fast...so just anything that will help keep me focus in this challenge to lower my A1c would be wonderful.

How old were you when you were diagnosed? It is never an easy thing to go through. Learning all the details isn't very fun either. I hope you are managing well with college and your diabetes. I started my blog for other diabetics to post and share their stories and daily routine type stuff. Hope to keep hearing from you!
